After 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, our family chose to settle down on a beautiful ten acre Homestead in Priest River, Idaho.
We are a little over an hour north of both Spokane, Washington and Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
We enjoy raising a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and honeybees at Blue Moon Acres.
Why we breed
We chose to become breeders to improve the Golden Retriever line.
By working as a team to eradicate undesired traits and hereditary diseases, ethically responsible breeders, like Blue Moon Acres Golden Retrievers, are able to provide families with quality companions.
MIssion
We believe in creating healthy puppies. No dog is perfect, but we believe that we have the opportunity and obligation to be a puppy’s voice.

We believe that each puppy has a home and family meant for them, where both the dog, and their human(s), can be their best selves.
It's our job to guide each family in choosing the best puppy for their needs/lifestyle.

To do this we vow to:

breed ethically by being selective in our breeding pairs and breeding with a goal in mind (never overpopulating).

provide comprehensive curriculum to ensure that puppies learn the world is safe, people are kind, and dogs are friendly.

provide lifetime support to each family, including re-accepting placement of a dog at any time throughout its life, should its owners be unable to keep him/her.
